Why am I doing this?

I'm getting a little old and set in my ways. I think I have some good ideas, and I've gained lots of knowledge in my life and career, but haven't found a great way to share it. My son, Josiah, is a pretty smart guy, and he's "gifted" me a website and lots of free instruction to help me move from being a consumer, to being a maker.

CTRL+. is a shortcut to fixing spelling (maybe I'll actually just put in all the little things I'm learning right in the blog?)

Also, I've had this idea for a long time, to make a "Team Leader manual" where I record decisions I'm making at work so I can search them and teach future people and give a resource.

Sidebar. I'm struggling with what I want to be public vs. private (or work private at least) in this regard. Not sure what to do with that just yet.

Anyway, that's the why. To make something useful. To create rather than just consume. To share, in a better way than just social media. Also, to learn new things. Producing a website is outside of my comfort zone, but it's fun with help, and I"m learning lots of new tools and ways of doing things.

I think this will be a worthwhile endeavour. Thanks Josiah.
